About Me

Hello, welcome to Megan Heyhurst Photography. My name is Megan Heyhurst. I reside in La Ronge, Saskatchewan with my husband and three children and our two dogs. I run a full time Day Home and am just starting my journey as a professional photographer.

I have had a camera in my hands since I was a toddler. I love taking photos and capturing moments. It all started for me when I was playing with my Barbies and decided I needed to line them up for a photo shoot. That sure was a surprise to my mom when she had the roll of film developed and it was all pictures of my Barbies. My love continued to grow and develop through photography clubs, courses.

They say that every photographer has a niche and should proudly state it, mine would be lifestyle photography. I want to capture a person in a way that shows who they are. I want to portray real life in all of my work. The beauty of a true smile is something that can not be matched. Serious expressions are beautiful also, they tell a different story, a story that is still just as worthy of being told.

I made history being the first woman to do Play by Play in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League for the La Ronge Ice Wolves. I Created a Podcast for them along with a weekly video segment and social media content creation and management. From there I decided that the I had a desire to keep going with that and to help other businesses and that's when Megan Heyhurst Photography & Media was born.
